Our Philosophy

At Wiseways, we believe each child is a unique individual whose developmental needs are best met in a safe and nurturing environment. Our teachers look at everything through the eyes of a child and are committed to providing classroom settings where children can learn and play together.

These beliefs are reflected through:

  • Loving and consistent care
  • Providing a balanced curriculum that helps the individual child gain confidence in a group setting
  • Emphasis on development of socialization skills and a positive self-concept
  • Opportunities to develop social skills and friendship (for example, all children sit together for "snack")
  • Exciting learning experiences that:
    • Encourage exploration and skill development
    • Build language skills
    • Teach Bible knowledge
    • Include creative fun through music and art
Our History

Wiseways was established as a preschool and has operated continuously since 1953. In 1973, it moved to its present location in Lambrick Park Church.

To meet the needs of the community, our full-day childcare program opened in 2008. We expanded this program by opening the Cozy Cottage in 2018, and our Mouse House classroom in 2021. In 2019, Wiseways became a full-time childcare facility in all of our classrooms, while continuing to incorporate the British Columbia Early Learning Framework into the program.
